What Makes a Good Lawyer? Panel: Joanna Hardy
Joanna Hardy is a criminal barrister at Red Lion Chambers. She came to the Bar following a local state education.
Joanna read Law at King’s College London, graduating with First Class Honours. She remained at King’s for her Postgraduate degree and secured a Distinction in her LLM Master of Laws. Joanna was a Harmsworth Scholar at Middle Temple before being called to the Bar in 2010.
Joanna now enjoys a busy and high-profile criminal practice. She was listed in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions of the Legal 500 where she was most recently described as “an absolute star whose high profile is well deserved.”
In 2019 the Evening Standard listed Joanna in the Law and Order category of the Progress 1000, a list of the most influential people in London.
Joanna volunteers with several organisations to promote social mobility and diversity at the Bar. She is an accredited advocacy trainer with Middle Temple and a pupil supervisor.
