The defining image of the English legal system, throughout the world, inspiring many to join the profession, is a barrister, in wig and gown, making an impassioned speech before a jury, for a client.

We can’t do justice on the cheap. I support @TheCriminalBar #barristerstrike

It’s nice in Nice! And in Cannes!
There are well known photos of both towns on the French Riviera but these are slightly less photographed buildings.
The first and third are in Nice. The second in Cannes.

Actress Wendy Morgan has a stellar career spanning many years in the business. She has appeared opposite such acting greats as Sur Anthony Hopkins and Vanessa Redgrave.
She shared this movie memory with me at Cannes about a film she loved so much she watched it over and over at the same screening!
Wendy has now made her directorial debut with a hard hitting film called Mercy.

I don’t often post photos of myself. But this was taken by a filmmaker during a beautiful sunset on a beach in Cannes during the film festival. The sunlight is radiant and gives everything, including me, a glow.
So, I feel it’s a photograph that captures so much.

11 years ago today Prince William married Catherine Middleton and they were granted the title of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Here’s a selection of some of the stunning photography of that day when so many people celebrated by hosting parties at home as they watch the wedding on television. And elevated 1 million gathered in the mall and around Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park.

About Us

In 2019 there were over 128,000 solicitors in the United Kingdom and over 16,000 barristers.

As lawyers, we have a unique lifestyle: we travel to far flung courts at a moment’s notice; we eat on the go; we have a very particular dress code; we work unusual hours; and whilst we are a popular subject for films and television dramas, we are also one of the least popular professionals in the eyes of the public.
