Itsalawyerslife and the Legal Style Awards are featured in this month’s Counsel magazine which goes out to the legal profession.

In the article, I talk about why I set up both the blog and the awards and how they have exploded well beyond my expectations.

This year alone, the blog and the associated social media accounts have had three features with over 1 million views each! Numerous other features have had hundreds of thousands of views. So if you have ideas for articles, please get in touch and let’s work together!

As for The Legal Style Awards, the response to them has been phenomenal. There was even a Legal Style Awards in New York, last summer.

 Last year‘s London ceremony was featured in the Times and mentioned on the BBC website. Luxury brands hosted pop-up shops at the event. 

Many Law firms and Barristers Chambers joined us as sponsorship partners.

200 guests attended the ceremony, with partners from Law Firms and barristers travelling from as far afield as Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham as well as legal London and the surrounding areas 

The ceremony was held at the prestigious design studio of the Earl of Snowdon, LINLEY, London.

I am helped in organising the awards by Sophie Hicks who is the marketing director at my chambers, 42BR Barristers. As we both have demanding ‘real’ jobs, we host the event every two years rather than every year. 

This year I have been focusing on my forthcoming book about well-being in the legal profession (you’ll be hearing more about that soon) so there hasn’t been an event. But we will be back in 2027!
