Weekend Women: Diana Constantinide

On 14th February 2020, Diana Constantinide, from 33 Bedford Row Chambers, was invited to speak at the International Peace Conference at United World Colleges (UWC) in Maastricht, Netherlands.
The conference addressed the topic ‘is peace a utopia?’ as part of issues  relating to international criminal and human rights.
During the three-day event, 400 participants of over 105 nationalities took part in a wide variety of engagements. Workshops, led by young people who have either experienced the absence of peace or with personal ties to various forms of conflict, offered unique insights and solution-based discussions. The conference aimed to spark activism and initiative among the young. Diana was invited to share her knowledge as an expert on international human rights through a lecture and a lengthy Q&A session.
