Monday Mood, 23.9.19 by Eliza

Happy Monday everyone!

Today officially marks the end of Summer, sadly, but sees the beginning of the beautiful season of Autumn, so it may not surprise you to know, that today’s motivational Monday Mood theme is Autumnal Equinox.

If you’re of the same opinion as F. Scott Fitzgerald, “life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – You know when Autumn is on it’s way when the leaves fall, the days get shorter and the temperature drops, but Autumn, I’m sure you’ll agree, is one of the most stunning seasons when the Autumn leaf colour changes to various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, orange and brown.

The word “Equinox” is derived from Latin and means “equal night”. On the day of an Equinox, day and night are of approximately equal length all over the world. Autumnal Equinox begins on 23rd September 2019 at 08.50 and begins in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the moment in time when the Sun stands directly above the equator while crossing from the north to the south.

I’ve chosen some well known songs with the Autumnal theme to include tunes performed by Van Morrison, The Moody Blues, Neil Young and Eva Cassidy to listen to at your leisure.

Until next week!

Enjoy!
